There are tons of letter activities out there, but we really like these:
- The Days with Grey blog has a “recipe” for three activities using the same ingredients = rocks, white chalk marker, black marker, and leftover cardboard.
- Sandpaper letters are a great way for your child to have a sensory letter experience. Tracing the letters is more interactive because of the texture. You can spell out your child’s name and have them “write” it using pieces of yarn to create the letter on top of the sandpaper. The options are limitless – this Montessori Academy blog post can give you more ideas.
- If your child already has a stash of Duplo or colorful blocks, why not try making letters. The Adventures in a Box blog have free printable mats and samples of how to construct each letter. Get inspired and make some letters together!
