There are so many colorful ways to help your child recognize the colors all around them.
Talk about colors over and over and over again!
Never miss a chance to point out the colors around your child. Ask everyone about their favorite colors. Create new Alaska variations of colors that you see around you. Introduce new color words: bright, neon, dark, warm/cold, pastel, etc.
Craft with color
Mix paint to experiment with creating colors. Make time to color with crayons. Use every color of playdough you have to make something special.
Wear your favorite colors
Help your child get dressed in clothes featuring their favorite colors. Let your child help you pick out your clothes that have your favorite colors to wear.
Sort toys and other objects
As you go through the day, sort with your child by color.
Eat the rainbow
Make a plate of colorful snacks: red raspberries, salmon salmon – lol!
