COVID-19 has changed the way we live. While the situation is scary and uncertain, this time is giving us all a chance to concentrate on our being with and communicating with loved ones. We have an opportunity to maximize family time. While there’s tons of advice on how to talk with children about coronavirus and how to keep them entertained, we wanted to offer a chance to think about how to find calm in the chaos.
What does it look like to balance working at home/continuing to report to work, adjusting all of your routines, and keeping your family healthy and feeling positive? First, please realize that under normal circumstances, all of these things are difficult to juggle. Second, this is a stressful time for everyone, of any age, and we all need to be aware of our mental health. When adults model physically, emotionally, and mentally healthy behavior, children will be healthier and feel safer. Be well and please take care of yourself!
