Anchorage Imagination Library
Thank you for celebrating our 10th birthday with us!
Since 2009, Anchorage Imagination lIbrary has been sending high-quality books to the homes of children from Chugiak to Girdwood and everywhere in-between, helping parents support their child’s early learning. This summer we celebrate the tens of thousands of children who have developed a lifelong love of reading in our community thanks to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. All of this would not be possible without the countless volunteers, friends, and supporters who helped make it happen.
We had such a lovely time celebrating this milestone with our community! Families and children connected with amazing local resources, while making crafts and playing games inspired by titles of books from Imagination Library. Special music performances and storytimes on stage delighted children of all ages. And Mayor Ethan Berkowitz came to present a special proclamation recognizing the value of early literacy and the important work of Anchorage Imagination Library.
