2016 Public Policy Priorities
The Alaska Early Childhood Advocacy Group has agreed on these Public Policy Priorities for 2016 to help ensure all Alaska children start school happy, healthy, and ready to succeed. The priorities focus on quality early care and learning, strengthening families, and community engagement and early literacy.
In addition to Best Beginnings, the Alaska Early Childhood Advocacy Group includes thread, Alaska’s Child Care Resource and Referral Network; the Alaska Association for the Education of Young Children; the Alaska Head Start Association; the Alaska Infant Learning Program Association; and Parents as Teachers State Office; All Alaska Pediatric Partnership.
