The North Slope Imagination Library’s goal is to provide a free book to every North Slope child under age 5 every month. In the winter of 2010, the program will be launched in Barrow and once it is established there, it will be expanded to include all eight villages on the North Slope. Funding for the initial program is being provided by grants from the North Slope Borough Mayor’s Office Healthy Communities Initiative, Best Beginnings, and the Alaska Dept. of Education & Early Development.

A donation of $30 will enable a child to receive a brand-new,
age-appropriate book in the mail once a month for one year. With $150,
you will enhance the life of a child from birth until age 5 – or five
children for one year. We welcome any amount.
