Alaska's Early Learning Guidelines for Early Childhood Educators
Developed by the Department of Education and Early Development (DEED) and Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), and endorsed by the State Board of Education and Early Development, the Early Learning Guidelines (2.8 MB PDF) spell out what young children should know, understand, and be able to do at different stages. They also help parents and caregivers understand both child development and their own roles in providing appropriate learning experiences.
