Alaska Child Care Program Office (CCPO)
The CCPO monitors, regulates, and licenses child care facilities across the
state and further promotes child care quality through grants. Their Web site
assists families in determining whether they are eligible for child care benefits and
contains information on all State of Alaska Child Care Programs.
Alaska Department of Education and Early Development
A place for teachers in Alaska to find resources and information on
jobs, curriculum and standards, grants, programs, development profiles,
and more. Alaska Family Child Care Association (AFCCA)
Promotes quality family child care through accreditation, training and
leadership development through specialized technical assistance. AFCCA is
located in Anchorage at 2221 East Northern Lights Blvd. (907) 258-5436
Alaska Head Start Association (AHSA)
A membership organization representing Head Start parents, staff, directors and
friends, whose purpose is to support and advocate for children and families. (907)

Anchorage Association for the Education of Young Children
AAEYC hosts the annual Early Childhood Conference each January, which provides opportunities for networking, training, and professional development. AAEYC serves all of Anchorage and surrounding communities including, but not limited to, Eagle
River, Palmer, Wasilla, and the Kenai Peninsula.
