When a community takes on the creation of their Imagination Library, they’re also planning for more than books: family programs and storytimes to reinforce early learning, local fund raising to make it sustainable over time.
The State of Alaska and statewide agencies and foundations have stepped up with funds for grant assistance. Researchers at the University of Alaska Anchorage conduct statewide surveys to review the value and effectiveness of Imagination Library.
